Nonprofit entities, often referred to as not-for-profit organizations, are generally established with the primary aim of fulfilling charitable, educational, religious, scientific, or social objectives.
There are many different kinds of these organizations, and the IRS sorts them into groups based on what they do. Below are some types of nonprofits according to the IRS.
